Choosing Wealth-PT1
make money on Oct 31st 2006
You want to be wealthy and have unlimited income. You also have a dozen different books from famous authors sitting on your bookshelf collecting dust and you are still not rich. This means that either every one of those “get rich†authors were scammers or you have a shortcoming that is holding you back from achieving infinite wealth.
 Â
As I write, I am going to give you methods to increase your income as well as methods that will help you change habits that may be holding you back. So lets start with some of the wealth demons that could be keeping you from getting rich. Here are the big players;
- Fear
- Indecision
- Laziness
- Bad Patterns
- Arrogance
- Disappointment
 Â
Wealth Demon One: FEAR
 Â
Playing it safe has screwed more people out of their dreams than any other factor I can think of. I have seen people with no talent that bring nothing outstanding to the table excel and make a big name for themselves through nothing more than sheer guts. They just have no fear of rejection, failure, success or in other words they just keep on coming like a determined dog after a bone. When you want something so bad that all obstacles are merely interesting puzzles to be figured out and not mountains of woe, you are on your way.
 Â
Chances must be taken because fortune favors the bold. People that play it safe are the mainstream of society. This is the way things run from day to day. People wake up, go to work, pay the bills, and the machine of society keeps on churning in a predictable and easy to manage way. Most people like it that way. For the rich and those that are about to become very wealthy, the right chances taken every day are exciting and can be very rewarding. When you feel fear, you are in the right territory. Fear keeps the mainstream middle class society in their place and leaves the loot for you and I to enjoy. Leading us into the next point, remember that fortune favors the bold, not the stupid. There is a big difference.
 Â
Wealth Demon Two: INDECISION –THE PUPPET MASTER
 Â
Stocks are going to crash, the real estate bubble is about to burst and your mattress is the only safe place to keep your money. Unless your house starts on fire, so you better bury some money in the back yard too. The puppet master demon will keep you chasing your tail with doubts. These doubts will keep you from committing to any particular stream of income opportunity. Diversification is fine if you have enough resources to allot a fair amount to each, but it you never take the chance of putting a large amount of your eggs into a central money investment you will never get the big payoffs. Better yet, lets move onto point number three. That’s laziness and if you stop being lazy, you can learn how to invest without using much of your own money at all.
 Â
Wealth Demon Three: SLOTH –THE RULER OF LAZINESS
 Â
Getting rich and making a ton of cash isn’t really that hard. Its not hard once you learn a bit about how it all really works. Guess what though? You cant learn the system if you don’t get off your butt and do some learning. Shut off the T.V., get off the couch and go to the library. Find the books you need to learn the system of wealth and money. Find the book that answers the questions about money that have you stuck where you are now. Beating laziness becomes easy once passion bites you. Once you get a sniff of what is possible, Sloth wont have a chance.
 Â
If you don’t know where to start, then start general. Pick up a title that looks interesting and while you are reading that book, see where you get stumped. Is it the part about no cash down mortgages or is it the part about no load mutual funds? Wherever you are short on the I.Q. of wealth and money, get proactive and get the ammo you need for your upcoming battle.
 Â
Next time we will talk about the demon of PATTERN and some of his friends.

Simple Success Plan
make money on Oct 13th 2006
For years I have fallen prey to just about every ad that
promised to sell me the “missing secret” to success. I have
read the material from countless authors again and again,
but I have never found the secret. I have never come across
something “nobody else” was telling me, or that everyone
else wanted to keep from me.
No, after spending all that money and time I came to one
inescapable conclusion: There is no new, old, or missing
secret. In all the years that I have been studying personal
development, and all the different methods that I have
heard, they can all be boiled down to three simple steps
that anyone can do.
Step 1: Know What You Want
As part of a class that I used to teach I would ask the
students to put down a list of what they would do if they
had all the time, and all the money, the needed. Most of
the students would only come up with three or four things
at most. And the things they listed would be vague and
generic like, “I want to travel.”
As I went around the room I would ask them to be more
specific. The reason is that we won’t accomplish anything
without desire. Unless there is a clear picture in our
minds, one that we are deeply emotionally involved in, we
will never develop the desire to reach our dreams.
When it comes to what we want, we need to: Write it down,
imagine it vividly in our minds (pictures from magazines
can help you develop these images), and get excited and
emotional about having it.
Step 2: Believe You Can Have What You Want
What do you really believe about the things you want in
life? Do you believe that it’s possible for you? Or do you
believe that there are just too many obstacles in your way?
I like to use a little acronym: IOTA. It stands for: If
One, Than Anyone. And what it means is that if one person
has done it, anyone can do it. If one person started from
nothing and became rich and successful, than anyone can do
it.
Albert Einstein said, “The most important decision we make
is whether we believe we live in a friendly or hostile
universe.”
When we look at nature, we see that tiny seeds become
gigantic trees. That is God’s way of telling us that He
created everything for success, especially human beings.
All of creation tells us that we live and a precarious,
sometimes dangerous, but none-the-less friendly universe
that wants to see us, like every seed, to succeed.
But God also gave us the dignity of choice. Whether we
succeed or fail, it all comes down to what we believe. And
when we choose to believe with all our hearts that we can
reach our dreams, nothing can stop us.
Step 3: Take Action On Your Belief
A few years ago I was trying to build a network marketing
business. I had heard that some people were being very
successful buying lists of “opportunity seekers” and
calling them on the phone. I spent hundreds of dollars, and
many hours, calling people on the phone. I studied methods
for delivering my sales pitch and practiced them
diligently, but I never got anyone to sign up.
The truth is that we all take action based on our beliefs.
If we believe that we can’t succeed, even though we try, we
will sabotage our own efforts and fail. And when it came to
convincing people over the phone to sign up for my
business, the truth was that I didn’t believe it would
work. The problem wasn’t the method I was using; it was my
belief that I would fail.
Our thoughts and feelings are based on our beliefs. And it
is our thoughts and feelings that cause us to act. But in
order to change our beliefs we have to act. Simply
repeating affirmations to ourselves won’t change our
beliefs if we don’t develop the disciplined actions that
agree with those new beliefs.
In some ways it’s like the chicken and the egg. Our actions
are the result of our beliefs, thoughts and feelings, but
our beliefs, thoughts, and feelings are shaped by our
actions. Once we know what we want and we begin to believe
that we can have it; the next step is to take action on our
new belief. By doing that we send a powerful message to
ourselves that we really do believe that we can have what
we want.
Everyone who has become successful in life has used these
three steps, and you can too.

Staying Sane At Work
make money on Oct 13th 2006
Do you ever feel like Wonder Woman? I have. As a woman
juggling a ton of things I’ve wondered “what the heck
happened to my life?”
In fact, there have been times when I wondered if I had
much of a “life” at all.
You know what I mean. As a woman you play multiple roles.
You’re a daughter, grand daughter, sister, niece,
girlfriend, wife, business woman, gal pal, volunteer….and
sometimes community leader, politician, or in the ministry.
And you’re exhausted! You want to do it all and do it all
well. You don’t want to let anyone down, and yet you’re
losing it. Okay, so maybe you don’t need to be checked
into to a hospital, but your energy and enthusiasm is
slipping, your health is waning, and you wonder if you can
keep it all together.
The solution to the problem I’ve often heard is to have
“work-life balance.” I understand the intent, but striving
for balance hasn’t worked for me. The idea of balance is
that I evenly divide up my time and energy for every area
of my life, like a see-saw with a whole bunch of sides to
it with equal weights. But, my life isn’t divided up
evenly, nor do I think it should be. Right now for
example, to grow my business takes a better chunk of my
time than, let’s say, making dinner, working out, or taking
care of pets.
I say forget “balance”. Strive for sanity instead! Sanity
is feeling at the end of everyday feeling internally
satisfied that you used your time and energy on what’s most
important to you. Here are seven secrets to getting there.
Secret #1 is Know What You Want
Be clear about who and what’s important to you. Then make
choices to support your decision. If you don’t know what I
want, there will always be someone who will try to
determine it for you.
Secret #2 is Say “No” Without Apology
When you’re saying “no” to what you don’t want you’re
saying “yes” to what you do want. Saying no doesn’t mean
you’re being mean or hurting someone else. It means you’re
taking care of yourself and, often, those you most care
about. That’s something we should never apologize for!
Secret #3 is Focus on What’s Going Right
Focusing your attention on those things that are working
and helping you feel good about yourself gives you the
necessary self-esteem and staying power for dealing with
difficult situations and creating sanity.
Secret #4 is Stay Away From Whiners
Life is too short and requires too much of us to be
spending lots of time with people or in situations that
don’t cheer us on to the best we can be and go for our
dreams.
Secret #5 is Get Someone Else to Do It
You really don’t have to do it all! Get someone to do the
things in your life that really can be done by someone else.
Secret #6 is Take Care of You and You and You
Take care of all of you – the physical you, the emotional
you, the mental you, the social you, and the spiritual you.
Taking care of yourself gives you staying power. You’re
not only worth it; you are the only you you’ve got.
Secret #7 is Be Serious About Not Being So Serious
Don’t miss the fun along the way. Be playful! Laugh as
much as possible and find the humor that’s begging to be
discovered. The demands of your fast, full life
temporarily melt away.
